KIMBERLY HUMPHRIES

Treasurer

Kimberly draws on her professional background in finance to support programs that are dedicated to women's leadership programs.

In addition to serving as treasurer on the WII board, Kimberly is a member of the Mount Vernon National Advisory Council and co-chairs the Mount Vernon Campus subcommittee for Making History: The Campaign for George Washington University.

 

In 2016 she was honored with the Elizabeth J. Somers award for her leadership in women’s education.  Kimberly volunteers with the Elizabeth J. Somers Women’s Leadership Program, George Washington University, where she serves on the EJS WLP Mentoring Program committee and as a mentor. 

 

Her professional background is in the financial industry where she has held positions as a tax consultant, financial advisor, research associate and intern with the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C.

Kimberly graduated from George Washington University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in finance and a minor in legal studies.  She was a member and secretary of the Beacon Honor Society; and was listed in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.  In 2004 she received a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

Kimberly is a Sustaining Member of the Junior League of Washington where she chaired several community partner committees, served as Treasurer to the Sustainer Committee and served on the Finance Committee.  Kimberly has also volunteered significant amounts of time at the annual National Book Festival and The National Museum of Women in the Arts.
